Donations:

Once per year the School of Library and Information Management (SLIM) sends computer equipment to a Nigerian school taking part in The Nigeria Project. If you are interested in donating equipment, please contact the LSSC with the information listed below.

The following are guidelines for acceptance of donations.

Minimum Requirements:
IBM PC compatible computer
Pentium 200MHZ
64mb RAM
video card
2GB hard drive
floppy disk drive

Monitors are a welcomed but not required addition to the PC. You can also donate only a monitor if that is all you have. Monitors must have clear pictures, support 800x600 displays, and 16 bit color.

Personal information should be deleted from all equipment prior to donation. In addition, before computers are sent to Nigeria, all hard drives will be formatted and new operating systems installed.
